After a dissapointing game last week Batley turned it on this week to register their 2nd win of the season.
Batley played this week on the main pitch at the Bulldogs stadium and did themselves proud with a performance of maturity that blew Selby away.
From the 1st whistle Batley played with a freedom and confidence that has been missing but returned as every player put in a team performance that showed how far Batley have come not just as individuals but as a team.
Lucas Tomlinson as captain bossed the game from start to finish as the players listened to his instructions and executed them well. Man of the Match/Spectators Man of the Match Jack Bestwick was unstoppable with 4 solo tries and 5 conversions with Jake Farrell winning Good Effort for his strong running in attack and tough tackling and also chipped in with a rare try to continue his good form, Leon Heeley got in on the try scoring backed up by Top Tackling and Opposition Man of the Match Bader Hussain(1 try), and Cole Innes(1 try) as the forwards showed their power.Kieron Underwood showed his versatility with his 1st try in a Batley shirt with a great try. Max Clark, Max Loucas, Joe Scott, Kamaron West, Levi Charlton, Will Stoner, Shane Gaunt, Kyle Horrocks and Tom Rhodes all had excellent games.
