The under 9's presentation night took place last night at Batley WMC, a great time was had by all. This season's most improved award went to Josh Ottewell for his hard work this season, coach Paul said "he has taken it upon himself to get more involved as acting half, I can see him fitting in as the team hooker as we move forward to team positions. He has good safe hands and has developed a killer dummy and sidestep towards the end of the season". The Clubman award went to Freddy Crann, coach Paul said "team morale is important at any age and a player that can pick other players up when chips are down are a vital factor of any team. Freddy has been vital for keeping spirits raised since he started with the team this season". The Players player award voted for my the players themselves was this year shared between two players with equal votes went to Cameron Taylor and Lewis Farren. Coach Paul said that "both players have played well all season and both have the capability to grab a game by the scruff of it's neck in both defence and attack". The spectators player of the season award, voted for by the parents went to Stan Kilburn. Coach and Dad Paul said "he has an eye for the line and a devastating burst of speed and fast feet". This year season's Coach's Player of the Year award went to Charlie Wilson. Coach Paul said he had spent a long time thinking about this award as their were 2 or 3 players who had stood out this season. He said he finally decided on Charlie for "consistency across the board in all disciplines. He hasn't had a bad game all season and I think he sometimes gets overlooked because of that, because it's just expected that he'll play well. I think the thing that sealed this award was the recent photos taken by Michelle - he's in practically every photo, whether the team are defending or attacking, always putting in 110%"
